Kodak earns 2025 EcoVadis bronze medal: A milestone in our sustainability journey

July 01, 2025

Ecovadis bronze medal

We're proud to announce that Kodak has been awarded a 2025 Bronze Medal Sustainability Rating by EcoVadis, a globally trusted provider of business sustainability assessments. This recognition places Kodak among the top 35% of companies evaluated by EcoVadis in the past year—a significant achievement that reflects our growing commitment to sustainable business practices.

Our 2025 rating marks a 6-point percentile increase over our 2024 submission, underscoring the progress we've made across key areas of environmental, social, and ethical responsibility. The EcoVadis scorecard evaluates companies in four critical categories:

  • Environment: Including resource management, emissions reduction, and energy efficiency.
  • Labor & Human Rights: Covering working conditions, employee health, and wellness.
  • Ethics: Focusing on anti-corruption, transparency, and corporate integrity.
  • Sustainable Procurement: Ensuring our suppliers uphold ethical and environmental standards.

This achievement reflects the hard work and dedication of our teams, especially that of the Health Safety and Environment Team.

Sustainability in Action

Kodak's sustainability strategy is more than a checklist—it's a core part of how we innovate and operate. Our 2024 Sustainability Report, One World, One Kodak, highlights several major milestones:

  • 56% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions since 2016—more than double our 2025 goal.
  • 31% reduction in water withdrawal, surpassing our 25% target ahead of schedule.
  • 99% waste diversion from landfill and incineration at Kodak sites worldwide.

These milestones demonstrate the tangible impact of our sustainability efforts and pave the way for innovations that align with our environmental goals. For instance, our eco-friendly products, such as the KODAK SONORA Process Free Plates, which eliminate the need for processing chemicals and water, while our KODAK PROSPER Presses and water-based inks reduce energy consumption and material waste in print production.

Why It Matters

More than ever, our customers deserve transparency and accountability in sustainability. Participating in the EcoVadis assessment not only meets those expectations but also strengthens our position as a trusted, responsible partner.

As Jim Continenza, Kodak's Executive Chairman and CEO, put it: "Sustainability is an integral part of our growth strategy and a reflection of our corporate values".

Looking Ahead

We're proud of this recognition, but we're not stopping here. Kodak will continue innovating for a more sustainable future. Because at Kodak, sustainability isn’t just a goal—it's who we are.
