Putting the "ink" in "inkjet"

Ink in inkjet

Considering a new inkjet press? The importance of the inks and primers it will use cannot be overstated.

Rather than developing separate ink sets to adapt to different substrates, we provide uniform ink sets for each of our high-speed continuous inkjet (CIJ) technologies. That enables printers to offer customers an unmatched range of applications without needing a multitude of presses or imprinting systems.

Both KODACHROME and EKTACOLOR Inks offer vibrant colors and fast drying properties, making them ideal for a wide range of substrates and applications. Complementing these inks are our OPTIMAX Primers, which pretreat substrates to optimize ink adhesion and print quality.

This strategy streamlines operations for printers while enhancing color quality, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability across various applications.

  • More color. Less ink. Our proprietary pigment micro-milling process creates finer pigments to reduce light scatter and ensure ultra-thin dried ink layers, resulting in an expanded color gamut and reduced printhead maintenance.
  • Primed for success. We formulated OPTIMAX Primers to give printers independence from expensive pre-treated inkjet substrates—and to enhance print durability and sustainability.
  • Do more with less. Print on an unmatched range of substrates without swapping your ink set—from paper, film and foil to corrugated and folding carton packaging.

The combination of these high-performance inks and primers with our PROSPER Inkjet Presses enable printers to handle more applications with less equipment.
