On October 3, Eastman Kodak Company was given the “Good Neighbor Award” from the Greater Rochester Chapter of the American Red Cross.

Kodak was honored for its continuous support of Red Cross services. This year, the company donated space for the annual “Sound the Alarm” program, which focuses on installing hundreds of smoke detectors in homes throughout Rochester. Kodak Center was the staging area for this important fire safety event where volunteers trained before heading out into the local community with their teams.

Kodak Fire Department’s Battalion Chief, Bill Arnold, accepted the award on behalf of the company during their annual volunteer recognition dinner.

The Kodak Fire Department has been located on-site at Eastman Business Park for over a century, so the team enthusiastically stepped up to support this important initiative.
