Kodak Day of Caring 1

In early May, over 100 Kodak employees and retirees volunteered as part of the United Way’s Day of Caring. Thirteen teams from Kodak helped to support a variety of important organizations in the Rochester Community, including the following: Liberty Manor Catholic Family Center; Expressive Beginnings Childcare; Cornell Cooperative Extension; Shepard Home; Society for the Protection and Care of Children; YMCA; Connect Communities; and, various Lifetime Assistance locations. Kodak employees have been championing the local chapter of the United Way for over a century, and this year, they collectively raised almost $270,000 during the annual employee campaign.

Erin Semple, Manager of Product Stewardship with the HSE team, coordinated the fundraising effort this year, and stated, “The support we received during the 2019 United Way Workplace Campaign once again showcases that Kodak employees rise to the occasion for this community. To cap off the campaign by participating in the Day of Caring again this year was truly an honor.”

Erin’s group volunteered at one of the local Lifetime Assistance homes, and as she described, “Knowing that we made such an impact for the residents of the home is a feeling you can’t put into words…and to know that there were so many other Kodak teams and so many teams in the Rochester community doing the same is incredible.” Kodak employees are proud to continue the long tradition of supporting such a significant organization in the Rochester Community.
