Installation Instructions
CAUTION: Do not turn off your frame or remove the memory card or USB flash drive during this upgrade. The upgrade may take up to 5 minutes to complete. Your frame automatically restarts when the upgrade is complete.
IMPORTANT: Print this page before continuing.
Determine Your Current Firmware Version
- Turn on your frame.
CAUTION: Only use your finger to touch the frame. Using sharp or metal objects may damage the screen or border.
- On your frame border tap Home, then tap Settings. The Setup screen appears.
- On the bottom border, slide your finger across the lights to select About, then tap Select. The Setup-About screen displays your current firmware version.
- Tap Home.
Upgrade the Firmware on Your Frame
- Download the *.dmg file to your computer.
- Open the 1020 folder.
- Copy both *.img files to the root directory (not in a folder or subfolder) of a memory card or USB flash drive, then insert the memory card or USB flash drive into your frame.
- Tap Home, then tap Settings.
- Select Upgrade firmware, then tap Select. The current firmware version on your frame and the version on the memory card or flash drive appears.
- Select Upgrade firmware, then tap OK to begin the upgrade..

- Remove the memory card or USB flash drive from your frame.
- Verify that the firmware is upgraded. See the above instructions, Determine Your Current Firmware Version.
NOTE: Your frame receives upgrade notices automatically when it is connected to your wireless network. To upgrade the firmware wirelessly, select Install now, then tap OK. If you did not receive an upgrade notice for this firmware version, turn off your frame, then turn it on. If an upgrade notice still doesn't appear, follow the above instructions to upgrade the firmware from your computer.
