Proper Storage Temperature

Medical processing chemicals (working solution or concentrate) should be stored at 40 to 85°F (4.5 to 29.5°C).

If working solutions or concentrates have been stored below 40°F (4.5°C), they should be inspected for precipitate prior to use. Discard the chemicals if precipitate is noted or if the chemicals have been frozen.

Shelf Life

Chemicals:
If the chemicals are stored in their original, unopened container at the temperature above, they will be usable up to two years from the date of manufacture (indicated by the batch code ). Opening the container will dramatically reduce the shelf life, as will storage at temperatures above 85°F (29.5°C).

Working Solution:
Mix developer and fixer replenishment solutions only in quantities large enough to be used within two weeks. Use floating lids to reduce oxidation of the developer solution.
