These drivers support PostScript printing and are necessary to utilize the features available on the 8400 PS printer when printing from Windows and/or Macintosh platforms.
MACINTOSH instructions:
This self-extracting archive contains a Disk Image file, and a copy of Shrinkwrap (used to mount the disk image).
Before installing the driver, you must first mount the disk image by dragging it on top of the Shrinkwrap icon.
NOTE: Also includes the XLS 8400 export module for PHOTOSHOP (MACINTOSH).
WINDOWS 95/98 instructions:
To successfully extract and install the WINDOWS file (after download):
- From the WINDOWS File Manager, go to the directory where the web file was downloaded
- Select the .exe file (highlight - do not execute by double-clicking).
- From the FILE menu, select RUN.
- Add the -d option so that the resulting line looks like : dd0257.exe -d
The -d option is necessary to preserve sub-directories when de-compressing the archive.
If omitted, you will end up with all of the files in one directory.

- Click on OK
For WINDOWS NT 3.51:
- From the WINDOWS File Manager, go to the directory where the web file was downloaded

- Go to the DOS prompt
- Change directory to the location of the file
