Drivers, Software and Firmware KODAK XLS 8400 PS Color Printer Color Downloader

In order to begin using the new and improved EKTATHERM XLS Three-Color Ribbons/V1.5, and get all the advantages of V1.5 Color, you will need to re-calibrate your printer.

MACINTOSH: Once the file is expanded onto your system a folder will exist with the name: " XLS8600 V1.5.". Open the " Manual.txt " file for complete instructions on using the Downloader utility. Note: A direct MAC to printer SCSI connection is necessary to use this software.

WINDOWS: The Downloader utility is a self-extracting archive that must be downloaded and saved to your hard drive, and then decompressed at the DOS command line. This is an important step that will retain the sub-directories within the archive.

1. Create a folder on your C drive called V15
2. Download the "dd0190.exe" file using the download button below, and save it to your hard drive in the V15 directory you just made. Once it is on your hard drive, DO NOT double click on the .EXE file.
3. Go to the DOS prompt, change directory to the location of the file, and type the following: "dd0190.exe -d" The file will expand into a sub-directory called " XLS8600 V1.5."
4. Open the file "Manual.txt" and follow the upgrade installation instructions.
