Grey Market Film
20 April 2004
Kodak has manufacturing facilities worldwide which provide cameras
and fresh film to our customers. On occasion, products manufactured
and intended for sale overseas are imported into the United States
on the "grey market".
Grey market products are not intended for sale in the U.S., are
not supported by a manufacturers' warranty, and are not eligible
for manufacturers' rebates. These products can be identified
by the following:
-
The text on the packaging is not in
English.
-
The box does not have a Proof-of-Purchase USA symbol.
-
The instructions may not be printed in English.
Film is very sensitive to heat and humidity. Because Kodak cannot
govern the conditions under which these products are shipped, grey
market film may be inferior by the time it reaches you.
Always look for the Proof of Purchase USA symbol on the camera
or film box. This symbol guarantees you are purchasing a domestic
product.
