Using the Self-Timer

When you set the Self-Timer and press the Shutter button, the mc3 device waits 10 seconds before taking the picture. This lets you get into the picture!

  1. Move the Mode selector to the Pictures position. Press the Menu button.

The LCD displays the Picture menu.

  2. Press the buttons to highlight the Self-Timer icon. Then press the Select button.

  3. Press the buttons to highlight ON, then press the Select button.

The new Self-Timer setting is shown next to the Self-Timer icon.

  4. Press the Menu button.

The Self-Timer icon appears at the top of the LCD.

  1. Place the device on a tripod or firm support. Compose the picture using the LCD. Press the Shutter button all the way down, and then move into the picture.

The Self-Timer icon blinks until the picture is taken. If sounds are turned on, the device also "beeps" during this time.

Canceling the Self-Timer

The Self-Timer feature is turned off after a picture is taken.

To cancel the Self-Timer selection before a picture is taken, do any of the following:

  • Turn off the mc3 device.
  • Slide the Mode selector to change to a different mode.
  • Press the Shutter button a second time. (A picture will not be taken, but the device remains in Self-Timer mode.)
