KODAK DIGITAL SCIENCE DC50 Zoom Camera Camera Maintenance and Storage
- Keep the DC50 Zoom Camera away from moisture and high temperatures.
- If the outside of the camera needs to be cleaned, wipe it with a clean, dry cloth. Never
use harsh or abrasive cleaners or organic solvents on the camera or any of its parts.
- Keep the sliding cover closed whenever the camera is not in use.
The light sensor is located below the viewfinder window on the front of the camera. The auto focus sensors are also on the front of the camera.
Clean the light sensors and focus sensors by rubbing them gently with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use any organic solvents to clean the sensors.
- Blow gently on the lens to remove loose dust.
- Moisten the lens by breathing lightly on it.
- Wipe the lens gently with a soft, lint-free cloth or an untreated lens-cleaning tissue.
Important
Do not use cleaning solutions unless they are designed specifically for camera lenses. Do not use chemically treated eyeglass lens tissues to wipe the camera lens because they may scratch the lens.
Remove the batteries if the camera will not be used for an extended period of time. This will prevent camera damage from battery leaks or corrosion.
