Installing the Batteries

You can use AA Kodak PhotoLife alkaline, AA lithium, or rechargeable NiCad (nickel-cadmium) batteries.

Warning Warning
Mixing battery types in the camera may cause a fire or explosion. Install only batteries of the same type at one time.

  1. Push firmly on the outer battery compartment door (under the handstrap) and slide it in the direction of the arrow until the outer door comes off.
  2. Locate the small tab on the inner battery compartment door and push gently on the tab in the direction of the arrow on the door.

    The door releases and pops up to reveal the inner battery compartment.

  3. Insert the batteries in their proper position in the inner battery compartment.

    The proper battery positions are indicated on the inner battery compartment door.

  4. Close the inner battery compartment door, then push firmly and slide the door down until it locks into place.
  5. Position the outer battery compartment door in its track, then push firmly on the door and slide it until it locks into place.
