Selecting a Power Save Setting

The Power Save feature is designed to balance battery consumption with camera performance. Select from three Power Save settings to control the performance of the functions listed below.

The Power Save feature is not available when the AC adapter is being used.

  1. Turn the Mode Dial to Setup.

  2. Press a button until the icon is highlighted.

  3. Press OK to display the Power Save screen.

  4. Press a button to highlight the Power Save option you want to use.
    • OFF--camera performance has priority over battery consumption. Ideal when battery life is not a primary concern.

    • STANDARD (default)--battery consumption and camera performance are optimized equally. Ideal for everyday shooting.

    • ON--battery life has priority over camera performance. Ideal when you have only one battery available.

  5. Press OK to accept the changes and return to the Setup menu.

    This setting remains until you change it.
