Formatting a Memory Card

You may need to format a memory card if the card becomes corrupted. When this happens, an error message appears on the LCD.  See Memory Card for more detail.

Caution:  Formatting the memory card deletes everything on the memory card.

	With the camera on, turn the Mode Dial to Setup. Press a button until Format is highlighted. Press the OK button to display the Format Card screen.
	Press a button to highlight Yes or No. Yes--erases all of the information on the card and formats the memory card for use in the camera. No--exits without making a change. Press the OK button to accept your choice.
