Taking a Picture

With the batteries installed and a memory card inserted, all you need to do is turn on the camera, select Capture mode, and take a picture.

With the camera on, turn the Mode Dial to Capture.
Center the subject in the viewfinder.
Press the Shutter button half-way to lock the autofocus and exposure.
Check the ready light for camera status.
- Glows Green--Camera is ready to take the picture.
- Blinks Green--Focus and exposure are not locked, or flash is not charged. Release the Shutter button and recompose the picture.
- Glows Red--There is a problem with the camera, see Camera LED Status Lights.
- Blinks Red--Camera batteries are low, replace the batteries; or there is a problem with the memory card, see Camera LED Status Lights.
Press the Shutter button completely down to take the picture.
The frame counter changes as the image is processed.

Note:
You can delete a picture you just took by quickly pressing a and selecting the delete option.
