There are three Picture Type settings which allow you to select the type of picture and then define the picture characteristics. The Picture Type setting is where you select the camera resolution for pictures. Picture Type settings can also be set through the Status LCD. The three Picture Type settings are:
The following assume that you have turned on the camera, entered the Capture mode, and pressed Menu to display the Capture mode settings.
- Press
to highlight the type of picture you want to select and define.
A checkmark appears to indicate the selected picture type.
- Press Enter.
The settings for the picture type appear.
- Highlight the particular setting you want to specify.
Each Picture Type setting has different options that are adjustable through the Picture Type menu.
- Press
to scroll through and select the options for each setting.
- Use the list below to select a Resolution.
- Ultrapicture size is 2240x1500 pixels.
- Highpicture size is 1792x1200 pixels.
- Mediumpicture size is 1440x960 pixels.
- Standardpicture size is 720x480 pixels.
