KODAK CAMEO SFM/Motor EX Camera
Loading the Film

If in sunlight, turn your back to the sun and load the film in the shade of your body.

  1. Slide the Film-Door Latch in the direction of the arrow and pull the film door open. You can load film with the Lens Cover/Flash opened or closed.

  2. Insert the film cartridge into the Film Chamber as shown. Place the bottom of the film cartridge over the Film Spindle, then push the top of the film cartridge down into the film chamber until it snaps in place.
  3. Pull out only enough film to place the end of the film at the Film-Load Mark. Rotate the film cartridge in the direction of the Film-Sprocket Teeth so that the film lies flat. Make sure the film-sprocket teeth show through the holes on the lower aide of the film. Close the door, pressing down until it snaps closed.

  4. Make sure the film door is closed. Press the shutter button to start the auto prewind. The film automatically advances from the first to the last frame number. Make sure the last frame, for example 12, 24, or 36 depending on the number of exposures on the film, appears on the LCD panel (sometimes an extra frame may appear on the LCD panel, for example, 25 instead of 24). If the lens cover/flash is closed, you can check the number of pictures remaining by pressing the shutter button.

If it is not loaded property, the LCD panel blinks "0" for 10 seconds and the camera will not operate. Open the film door and reload the film.

  5. The Film Window shows if film is in the camera and the type of film.
