KODAK CAMEO SFM/Motor EX Camera
Loading the Batteries

The camera uses 2 AAA-size alkaline batteries. Make sure you use only alkaline batteries. If you replace the batteries while film is loaded in the camera, the camera will remember the last picture number.

  1. Open the Battery Door.
Tuck the battery-pull strap into the battery compartment. Place both batteries over the battery-pull strap. Load the (+) terminal of the inner battery first, then the (-) terminal of the outer battery. The strap should be accessible after the batteries are in place. When it's time to replace the batteries, gently pull the strap to remove the batteries.

  2. Close the battery door until it snaps.

Low-Battery Indicator

It's time to replace the batteries when -

  • the battery symbol appears and flashes on the LCD Panel

  • the camera repeatedly fails to take a picture when the Shutter Button is depressed
  • the flash-charging symbol on the LCD panel stays on longer than 10 seconds
