Troubleshooting Guide
| What happened | Correction |
|---|---|
| Daylight pictures too dark | Use more light. |
| No picture or partial picture | Keep objects away from lens. |
| Pictures blurred | Hold camera steady. |
| Have subject stand still, or have subject move slowly toward you. | |
| Keep at least 5 feet (1.5 metres) from subject | |
| Foggy, misty pictures | Clean lens (see Camera Care). |
| Subject not centered or partly cut off | Frame subject in viewfinder. |
| Red reflections in subject's eyes | Turn on all room lights. For flash pictures, make sure your subject is within the flash range (see Using the flash). |
| Ready light won't glow or unit won't flash | Insert batteries correctly (see Loading the batteries). |
| Replace batteries. | |
| Flash pictures too dark | Wait a few seconds after flash ready light glows. |
| Keep your hand or fingers away from the flash. | |
| Flash pictures too light | Subject must be at least 5 feet (1.5 metres) from flash. |
| Flash-recycle time longer than 30 seconds | Clean battery-contact points with a rough cloth. |
| Replace batteries. |
