KODAK CAMEO Focus Free Camera Taking a Picture
- Open the LENS COVER/FLASH to uncover the LENS completely. Opening the cover
also unlocks the SHUTTER BUTTON.
- Frame your subject in the VIEWFINDER. For a sharp picture, stand at least 4 ft
(1.2 m) from your subject. If you are in dim light, turn on the swing-up flash (see
"Taking Flash Pictures").
- Hold the camera steady and press the SHUTTER BUTTON to take the picture. Do not
block the LENS.
- Turn the FILM-ADVANCE WHEEL until it stops. Your camera is now ready to take
the next picture.

In dim light, such as indoors or outdoors in heavy shade or on dark, overcast days, use the swing-up flash. When you use flash, be sure to stay at least 5 ft (1.5 m) from your subject.

- Slide the FLASH SWITCH to turn on the flash.

- Wait for the FLASH-READY LIGHT to glow, then take your picture.
- Keep the subject within the distance range for the speed of the film in your camera.
Note: To conserve your batteries, turn off the FLASH SWITCH when you are not using the flash. The flash also turns off when you close the LENS COVER/FLASH.
- In color pictures taken with a flash, people's eyes sometimes appear red. To help
prevent this, turn on room lights and have the subject face the lights.
- Stand at an angle to shiny objects like windows or mirrors; otherwise light from the
flash can reflect from the shiny surfaces and produce a bright spot in your photograph.
