| Subject partially or fully obstructed | Object blocking lens | Keep hands, strap, or other objects away from the lens and flash. |
| Camera will not operate | Lens cover/flash closed | Open lens cover/flash. |
| Film not advanced | Fully wind film-advance wheel. | |
| Film needs to be rewound/ removed | See "Unloading the Film". | |
| Foggy or blotchy pictures | Dirty or smudged lens | Clean the lens; see "Caring for Your Camera". |
| Blank roll of film | Film never advanced during camera loading | Load film properly; see "Loading the Film". |
| Flash-ready light fails to glow within 30 seconds | Flash not turned on | Turn on the flash. |
| Batteries weak or dead | Replace with 2 fresh alkaline batteries. | |
| Batteries improperly loaded in camera | Load batteries as shown on the tab in the battery compartment. | |
| Excessive force required to rewind | Did not press the rewind button until it locked in place | Fully press the rewind button until it locks into place and be sure it remains down during rewind. |
