Loading the Batteries

This camera uses 2 AAA-size batteries that supply power for all camera operations.

  1. Open the battery door.

    • Before you remove the old batteries, close the lens cover.

  2. Place the batteries over the battery-pull strap and insert into the chamber as shown.

  3. Snap the battery door closed.
    Note: Insert the batteries into the camera before you load the film.

It's time to replace the batteries when the BATTERY SYMBOL appears on the LCD PANEL or when the flash-ready lamp takes longer than 12 seconds to turn on.

Note: Remove the old batteries within 30 seconds after you open the battery door, when there is film in the camera, or the frame counter will reset to "1."

Battery tips

  • Dispose of batteries according to local and national regulations.
  • Remember to keep spare batteries with you at all times.
  • Read and follow all warnings and instructions supplied by the battery manufacturer.
  • Keep batteries away from children.
  • Do not use rechargeable batteries.
  • Store batteries in their original packaging prior to use.
  • Remove the batteries from the camera when the camera is not going to be used for an extended length of time.
  • Replace all batteries with the same brand and grade and as a set at the same time.

  Caution: Do not try to take apart, recharge or short circuit the batteries, or subject them to high temperature or fire.

  Warning:  In the unlikely event that battery fluid leaks onto your skin, rinse immediately with plenty of water. Power shutdown

To conserve battery power, the camera automatically goes into a sleep mode if it is not operated for more than 4 minutes. You can awaken the camera by taking a picture or by closing and reopening the lens cover. When the camera will not be used for an extended length of time, close the lens cover to completely turn off the camera.
