KODAK ADVANTIX 5800MRX Zoom Camera Using the Remote Control

The IR Remote Control RC-3 allows remote camera operation up to 20 ft (6.1 m) away.
- Place the camera on a tripod (TRIPOD SOCKET) or on another firm support.
- Press the ENTER BUTTON repeatedly until "REMOTE READY" appears on the
TEXT-MESSAGING PANEL.
- Arrange the camera and subject positions and compose your picture.
- Point the REMOTE CONTROL toward the front of the camera and press the button on
the REMOTE CONTROL. The REMOTE-CONTROL LAMP blinks and the shutter
releases after approximately 3 seconds.
- After you take the picture, the REMOTE CONTROL is canceled.
The REMOTE CONTROL uses a 3-volt lithium KODAK KCR2032 Battery (or equivalent). Replace the battery when the button on the REMOTE CONTROL does not release the shutter.

- Remove the three screws on the back of the cover of the REMOTE CONTROL.
- Lift the cover and remove the old battery.
- Insert a new battery (+ side up).
- Replace the cover and re-attach the screws.
