KODAK ADVANTIX 5800MRX Zoom Camera
Using the Self-timer

You can include yourself in pictures by using the self-timer feature. The electronic self-timer will delay the release of the SHUTTER BUTTON for approximately 10 seconds after you press the SHUTTER BUTTON.

  1. Place the camera on a tripod (TRIPOD SOCKET) or on another firm support, and press the ENTER BUTTON. Wait for the TEXT-MESSAGING PANEL to display "SELFTIMER READY."
  2. Frame your picture in the VIEWFINDER EYEPIECE.
  3. Press the SHUTTER BUTTON. The SELF-TIMER LAMP on the front of the camera will blink during the self-timer countdown.
    • To cancel the self-timer selection before the shutter releases, press the enter button or close the flash.
    • The self-timer automatically turns off after the shutter releases.
