Automatic Energy Saving Features

Power Shutdown

To conserve battery power, the camera automatically goes to sleep after a few minutes of nonuse; the flash-ready light turns off shortly thereafter. You can still take a picture while the flash-ready light is on. When the light turns off, gently press the shutter button halfway down or slide the on/off button to off and then on to wake up the camera.

NOTE: Turn off the camera when it is not in use to further extend the battery life.
