WINDOWS Installation Notes for V4.2
In order to ensure the correct installation of DCS Camera Manager V4.2 on WINDOWS 2000 and WINDOWS XP Systems, you must uninstall all previous versions first.
If you want to keep V1.4.1 on the same system, it can be re-installed after successfully installing V4.2. If a version of DCS Camera Manager prior to V3.0.1 for WINDOWS Systems was used on your system with the DCS Pro 14n, DCS 7xx series cameras, or DCS Pro Back series digital camera backs, a camera driver update is required to properly operate DCS Camera Manager V4.2. For driver update details, please refer to the IEEE1394ReadMe.pdf file located in the WDMDrivers folder of either your DCS Host Software CD-ROM containing DCS Camera Manager V4.2, or the extracted download file on your hard drive.
|
For the best results with FireWire connectivity and data transmission, it is recommended that you are operating with the latest version of camera firmware. Periodically check the appropriate DCS camera firmware download page to check on the availability of a newer version.
How to Connect the FireWire (IEEE 1394) Cable
|
- Notes:
- DCS Camera Manager V4.2 is not compatible with WINDOWS 98SE, WINDOWS Me, and WINDOWS NT 4.0. Users who are running any of these operating systems should install DCS Camera Manager V1.4.1. DCS Camera Manager V1.4.1 does not support the DCS Pro 14n, DCS Pro 14nx, DCS Pro SLR/n, or DCS Pro SLR/c cameras, and there are no plans to post an update providing that support. If you require tethered support for one of these cameras and are running any of the unsupported operating systems, it is recommended that you upgrade to WINDOWS 2000 Service Pack 2 or newer, or to WINDOWS XP.
DCS Camera Manager V4.2 does not support any Mac OS prior to Mac OS 10.2.8. If you are running a Mac OS version prior to 10.2.8 then you must upgrade to Mac OS 10.2.8 or newer.
