As a result, it continues Kodak's innovation in silver halide papers by creating a new paper that offers larger color gamut; natural-looking skin tones; improved whites that are lighter in density; improved text and graphic reproduction; high D-Max capability; and, exceptional high-intensity reciprocity characteristics for digital (CRT, LED and laser) and optical exposing devices. The paper is ideal for both portrait and commercial labs alike.

Why are you creating this new paper?: We leveraged advanced Kodak research in imaging science to develop a way to incorporate key enhancements, including new Kodak cyan dispersion and emulsion technology, to our award-winning KODAK PROFESSIONAL ENDURA Paper line that provides breakthrough benefits to both our portrait and our commercial lab customers. As a result, we have continued Kodak's innovation in silver halide papers to create a new paper that offers larger color gamut; natural-looking skin tones; improved whites that are lighter in density; improved text and graphic reproduction; high D-Max capability; and, exceptional high-intensity reciprocity characteristics for digital (CRT, LED and laser) and optical exposing devices.

Will you continue to offer ENDURA SUPRA VC and ULTRA ENDURA Papers?: No. Our extensive testing showed that the new KODAK PROFESSIONAL ENDURA Premier Paper successfully performs as a much stronger offering for both the portrait and commercial labs, making it unnecessary to offer two individual papers.

What specific benefits are there for portrait labs?: KODAK PROFESSIONAL ENDURA Premier Paper provides unique benefits for portrait labs by maintaining accurate skin tone reproduction while expanding color gamut due to color coupler technology; lighter in density for clean-looking whites; higher D-Max capability for bold rich blacks and exceptional performance in typical home display. The paper will also have KODAK PROFESSIONAL (DO NOT COPY) backprint, to visibly identify it as a paper tailored for long-lasting professional results. (Note: For Europe and Middle Eastern region, backprint is available only for E and Y surfaces.)

What specific benefits are there for commercial labs?: KODAK PROFESSIONAL ENDURA Premier Paper provides unique benefits for commercial labs by maintaining high D-Max capability for bold rich blacks while increasing color gamut for strong, vibrant colors (greens, blues, yellows and cyans); improved whites that are lighter in density; clean, sharp text and graphic reproduction; and, state-of-the-art image stability (one to five years for commercial display and 20 months for high-intensity commercial reflection display under 5000 lux). We will also offer a version of the paper with no backprint — key for commercial labs.

When will the new paper be available?: The new paper will be available worldwide beginning Q1 2012.

What sizes are available?: There is a broad range of sizes that vary by country and region.

How will you price this paper?: While pricing is subject to market conditions, the improved features of our new paper will have no impact in pricing relative to other papers.
