Kodak External Diversity Advisory Panel

Diversity Advisory PanelIn 2001, Kodak formed its groundbreaking external diversity advisory panel of diversity experts from law, academia, and business. The panel, chaired by Eric Holder, a former U.S. Deputy Attorney General, conducted a two-year review of Kodak's diversity and inclusion efforts, and offered recommendations to further strengthen Kodak's long-term diversity initiatives.

Their recommendations became the basis of a March 2004 resolution, adopted by Kodak's Board of Directors, to target the company's diversity and inclusion efforts in three key areas:

  • Global Values and Globalization - making the Kodak Values a standard for all Kodak employees worldwide.
  • Leadership and Human Capital - focusing on recruitment, retention, and leadership initiatives to build a more-diverse workforce.
  • Preparing the Workforce of Tomorrow - fostering internal and external education initiatives that help educate current and future workers.

A Senior Executive Diversity & Inclusion Council, chaired by Kodak's CEO was instituted in 2004 to develop policy and continue the external panel's emphasis on leadership in diversity and inclusion efforts at Kodak.

The External Diversity Advisory Panel revisited Kodak in October, 2006. They met with Kodak's senior leaders, including Chairman & CEO Antonio M. Perez, and employee network members, for an update on the company's journey of diversity and inclusion. They plan to reconvene in 2009.
