The Internet currently consists of a rapidly developing mix of
online services and Internet Service Providers using browser software
that runs on a variety of operating systems including Windows
95, Windows 3.1, Macintosh OS, and Unix.
At the present, KODAK Print Service is available only
through Microsoft Picture It! software, it is therefore limited
to use by Windows 95 users. In addition, the underlying communications
software (called "Winsock") is "32-bit" software,
meaning that it is designed to work only in a 32-bit operating
system (such as Windows 95). As a result, any Internet Service
Provider (ISP) or online service whose software still uses a 16-bit
Winsock for communications (which many do to make it operate in
both Windows 3.1 and Windows 95) will not support communications
with KODAK Print Service. The following is a list
of services we have evaluated and whether or not they are compatible
with KODAK Print Service. Please check this list from time to time to see if anything has changed. This software is evolving very rapidly, and we expect that many services (such as America Online) which are not currently compatible will become compatible in new releases of software which are imminent.
