HOW TO ORDER

KODAK PHOTO CD is produced on Kodak Photo CD Imaging Workstations (PIW's) and has been well received since its introduction in 1992. Two Cat Digital operates several of these workstations and produces more Kodak Photo CD scans than anyone else in the country.

One of the features of KODAK PHOTO CD that has made it so popular is that each image is saved in five different resolutions on the Master disc. The highest resolution is 18mb. The file format is Kodak Image Pac, which is proprietary but supported by almost all imaging software.

NOTE: Although we still produce Kodak Photo CD's, this is an old technology. We also offer much higher quality scanning with our newer services: Rollscan CD, Photo CD II, Pro Photo CD II and Archive CD.

Here are some features of KODAK PHOTO CD:
-Each scan saved as visually lossless Kodak Image Pac (xxx.pcd) file
-Master Image Pac contains five resolutions from 78kb to 18mb
-Master discs hold up to 100 images; Pro discs hold 25 - 30 images
-All discs include custom index print wtih thumbnails and image numbers
-Media is Kodak Digital Science gold and has been shown to have long archival life
