Let your kids’ imaginations go wild when you use photos of animals or favorite people to make easy masks for costumes.
What You'll Need:
8 x 10 image of an animal or human face
Spray adhesive or glue
Utility knife
Thin foamcore or cardboard
Craft stick or dowel
Hot glue
Faux fur, fabric or ribbons (optional)

How to Make it:

Pick your picture
Choose a shot that’s taken facing straight forward, as close up on the face as possible. Enlarge it to 8 x 10, and print.
Cut it down to size
Use spray adhesive to attach your 8 x 10 photo to foamcore or cardboard, then use the utility knife to carefully cut around the edge of the face and the eye holes. Make sure the mask user will be able to see well through the eye holes.
Finish it off
Hot glue a dowel or stick to the inner edge of the mask, ensuring a good bond. Use faux fur, ribbon, or fabric to adorn the dowel, and consider decorating the mask itself to give it a more three-dimensional look.
