Rochester, NY, May 16 --
Users of KODAK solutions in commercial and digital printing will gather at
the 2007 Graphic Users Association (GUA) North American Conference, May 30 to
June 2, at the Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa in Phoenix. Attendees will
meet with industry colleagues, share insights on successful business practices,
learn about the latest industry trends and hear about Kodak’s vision for the
future and the products that support it.
“The GUA is hands down the best conference I attend all year. The
opportunity to network with my peers, Kodak executives and engineers is
priceless,” said Rick Riegger, Prepress Manager at Japs-Olson Company, who
attended the event last year. “The combination of the business and learning
tracks, open labs and classroom training creates a perfect blend of information
that all professionals can benefit from.”
Kodak’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Antonio M. Perez will deliver
the event’s keynote address. At last year’s event, Perez shared his vision for
Kodak’s transformation and outlined the key indicators for success. This year’s
keynote address will pick up where that conversation left off as Perez will
speak about changes within Kodak, trends in the industry and what Kodak is
investing in to help its customers meet the challenges of redefining the
graphic arts.
“Kodak’s customers are some of the brightest minds in the graphic
communications industry,” Perez said. “GUA gives us the opportunity to meet
one-on-one with these customers, learn more about their needs and how Kodak can
provide them with the best possible solutions.”
More than 200 GUA members and nearly 100 Kodak executives, product managers,
developers and technical experts will interact throughout the conference on a
range of topics relating to solutions from Kodak. Speakers from Adobe, Apple,
Four51 and the Direct Marketing Council will also present at the event.
The GUA was created to address user questions during the introduction of CTP
technology, and acts as a forum for Kodak customers using conventional, digital
and hybrid printing equipment, software, and consumables to share information,
discuss business trends and address technical matters. Information about the
organization and conference is available at http://www.mygua.org. Conference attendees
receive a credit of $3,000 toward the purchase of selected KODAK software.
“GUA is an independent organization that continues to enjoy a strong
relationship with Kodak,” said Tom Clifford, President, GUA. “The GUA North
American Conference gives our members a great opportunity to share insights
with each other and hear directly from Kodak’s leadership about how they can
get the most out of their products and increase return on investment.”
