About DLS Archive Extractor Application
The KODAK DLS Archive Extractor Application (Archive Extractor) was created to give operators access to images contained within the KODAK DLS Store-it System. It allows you to extract 16 Base images that can then be written to a CD or to a local or networked storage location. You must have an Image Processing Workstation (IPW) with a KODAK DLS Store-It System Mini- or Maxi-Archive to use the Archive Extractor. You must select the Store-It option for each order from which you plan to retrieve images using the Archive Extractor. Images are extracted in an industry-standard JPG compressed file format in the sRGB color space. The EXE file installs the Archive Extractor Utility along with a copy of the User Manual. Shortcuts to both are also created within the Start Menu. Extracted Images are numbered sequentially beginning with 001 for each of the Low/Med/High resolutions which may not coincide with the actual film frame numbers. Images may be extracted in one or more of the following three resolutions:
Low-Res = 200 pixels wide x 133 pixels high
Med-Res = 1500 x 1000 pixels (4 Base)
High-Res = 3000 x 2000 pixels (16 Base)
(Pixel sizes listed above are based on images from 35mm film)

New features added in Archive Extractor version 1.1
File names now are made up from by combining the Customer ID, DLS unique internal ID, L/M/H designator, and image number beginning at 001. An example naming for an extracted image is "845785_379-1_H024.jpg".
