Cut the paper
Cut colored paper almost in half to measure 5”x11”.

Cut a circle out of the colored paper
Cut a circle out of the top portion of the colored paper (circle size can vary, as long as it’s large enough to accommodate the stem of the door handle).

Place your photos
Trim and place your photos so they fit in a fun arrangement at the bottom portion of the colored paper. Some photos can be square, some circles, some abstract shapes.

Arrange embellishments, like bows or buttons, and glue in place.

Add fun sayings
Add words with letter stickers (remember: this is your personal announcement, so have fun with it. Sayings like “Maid Service Requested” and “Quiet—Teenager Napping” are popular.)

Cut a slit at an angle from the hanger’s hole to its edge. Hang the door hanger from the knob and wait for your first visitor’s response.
