How to Make it

  Start the (snow) ball rolling
Take snowy-day pictures to a KODAK Picture Maker and follow the on-screen directions to make four 3.5" x 5" prints and one 8" x 10" enlargement. In the Edit menu, use Zoom and Crop to make each picture just the way you want it. When making the 8" x 10" enlargement, touch the Add Text button on the screen and follow the directions to create a title for your page.

  Trim and mat your pictures
Attach your 8" x 10" enlargement to the Blue with White Dots background paper for the left side of your layout. For the right side, mat your focal picture on navy cardstock, and then again on Snowflakes paper, leaving enough edge to tear. Mat this picture one more time on white cardstock and then tear the edges. Finally, trim a picture of friends or family playing in the snow to silhouette their bodies.

  Create snowdrifts
Tear 4.5"" x 12" strips of clear vellum and 4.5" x 12" strips of white cardstock. Alternate the layers of vellum and cardstock along the bottom edges of both layout pages. From the bottom moving up, start with vellum, then white, then vellum, then white. Adhere to background with photo-safe adhesive.

  Mount the pictures
For the right page layout, attach an unmatted picture to the upper left side of the Blue with White Dots background paper. Next, attach your triple-matted focal picture on the upper right side of the background paper. Tuck the silhouetted picture under the vellum "snow" on the bottom of the layout. Tuck another unmatted picture into the "snow" on the bottom right side of the page.

  Build a snowman
Create the embossed snowman accent using the brass template and embossing stylus on white, navy and orange cardstock. Draw the snowman's face with the black pen. Mat the entire accent on the Snowflake paper and trim. Tuck the edge of the snowman under the bottom vellum strip, and attach it to the background with adhesive.

  Finish with journaling.
On the left page layout, add a date or other journaling in the lower bottom right corner using the David Walker alphabet stickers. For the right page layout, create a journaling block on white cardstock. Tear the edges of the white cardstock and mat it onto Snowflakes paper. Tear the edges again. Adhere the journaling block to the bottom left corner of the layout.
