    Rochester, NY, March 05 --

Kodak and Athentech Imaging Inc. today announced an exciting offer which brings together the KODAK NEXPRESS Photo Platform and Athentech’s Perfectly Clear LAB image correction software. Beginning in March, Athentech Imaging will offer both an extended free trial of its Perfectly Clear LAB software and a special discount for purchase when customers buy a KODAK NEXPRESS Press.

Perfectly Clear is one of the world’s most advanced automatic image correction solutions. Powered by more than 10 patents and patents pending, it delivers robust automatic correction that produces accurate and beautiful results. Perfectly Clear LAB is stand-alone software that uses the concept of hot folders. Users can correct thousands of photos per hour while delivering stunning quality results, saving both time and money.

“In this digital era, consumers around the world are printing less but expecting the highest image quality,” said Rafael Soltero, Vice President, Sales and Marketing for Athentech Imaging Inc.“Combining the most innovative technologies to deliver the best printing results at the lowest possible operating cost will help customers grow their business. Working with Kodak to optimize Perfectly Clear LAB presets for NEXPRESS Products will result in higher customer satisfaction with both products.”

“We have seen studies that show imaging professionals resoundingly choose NEXPRESS Press output as the best quality in the industry,” said Chuck Hura, Kodak’s Director of Marketing, Digital Printing Solutions. “One recent survey shows that 73 percent of imaging professionals chose output from a NEXPRESS Press as having the best image quality. Perfectly Clear LAB software will help deliver even better quality prints to our professional imaging customers.”

A recent study by the SpencerLab Digital Color Laboratory revealed that the KODAK NEXPRESS SX3300 Digital Production Color Press achieved the highest overall rating in photographic print quality, demonstrating the best all-around performance across the majority of attributes evaluated. A white paper from SpencerLab, whichexplains the methodology, image samples and measurement results of the independent comparative Photographic Image Quality study, is available at www.kodak.com/go/nexpress and www.spencerlab.com.
