Package Handling

Package testing and validation are critical steps in getting your product to market. Through distribution testing protocols we will optimize the performance of your packaging, by ensuring proper product protection, and minimizing packaging cost and environmental impact. We offer a wide range of internationally recognized test procedures (ISTA, ASTM, and MIL-STD).

Single and multiple package format testing services include:

Parcel Delivery

  • Vibration – Sine & Random up to 250 Hz. Simulate the vibration effects of product transportation.
  • Horizontal Impact Testing – Programmable shock pulses
  • Drop Testing - Accurate, repeatable package drop tests. Determines the ability of a package to withstand the rigors of handling in the distribution environment.
  • Compression - Performance of packages, components, and materials under compressive loads.
  • Chambers - Altitude and Temperature/Humidity Chambers.

Pallet Load

  • ISTA and ASTM Test Procedures
  • Vibration – Simulate the vibration effects of product transportation with or without top load.
  • Horizontal Impacts – Simulate pallet marshalling
  • Compression – Warehouse stacking and long term storage of full and partial loads, bulk or retail formats.

Focused Simulation

  • ISTA 5 Series: User Defined Focused Simulation Performance Tests. Designed to provide a laboratory simulation based on actual field-measured and observed hazards and levels. Measured hazards will typically include complex shaped random vibration, multi-tiered drop height distribution, temperature and humidity extremes and/or cycling, and dynamic or static compressive loads.

Customized Test Procedures
