John Blake is currently the general manager of the New Growth Business.  This newly created position is focused on expanding the company portfolio through new category selection, leveraging the company’s assets, and entering partnerships to accelerate growth.  Blake’s background, experience, and business skills allow him to utilize the company’s many capabilities as he builds the business through partnerships.  He relocated to Singapore in December 2010 to be positioned in the fast-growing geography of Asia and be near the partner sources of innovation and supply.

Prior to his current position, Mr. Blake was worldwide general manager, Digital Capture & Devices, Consumer Digital Imaging Group from November 2005 through 2010.  He was responsible for digital cameras, digital video cameras, imaging sensors, digital picture frames, camera accessories, mobile imaging, and imaging devices on a global basis.  The Board of Directors elected him a corporate vice president in December 2005.

Blake’s career began at Kodak in 1991 as a financial analyst in the equipment manufacturing division.  From 1995 to 2005, he held a number of increasingly responsible leadership positions in finance, regional operations, product management, and segment leadership in Kodak’s professional photography division.  He became the worldwide general manager for Kodak’s professional output business and vice president of Digital & Film Imaging Systems in 2003, a position he held for three years prior to joining the consumer business.

Mr. Blake earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Rochester (1988) and an MBA in Finance from the Rochester Institute of Technology (1991).

Mr. Blake resides in Singapore with his wife and three children.
