    Environmental Conditioning

    Environmental Conditioning banner
Kodak has state-of-the-art environmental conditioning equipment that provides the ability to subject your materials to controlled levels of critical environmental factors. Your materials can be subjected to a single condition or a combination of conditions. Heat, humidity, light, and atmospheric pollutants are all applied under precise control and with constant monitoring to allow you to predict the performance of your materials under a variety of possible customer conditions.

    Light Exposure

Xenon and fluorescent light sources are available to expose your materials to light intensities from 10 to 80 kLux while maintaining the sample at a constant temperature and humidity. Accelerated aging tests are routinely run using high intensities over short time periods to predict the impact of prolonged exposure at normal intensities.

    Heat and Humidity Exposure

Multiple conditioning chambers are available to expose your materials to various combinations of temperature (-20C to 90 C) and humidity (-20 C to 90 C). Accelerated aging tests are routinely run using elevated temperature and/or humidity over short time periods to predict the impact of prolonged exposure at normal intensities. Chambers sizes of 3’(w) x3’ (h) x3’(d) and 3’(w) x 5’(h) x 3’(d) are available.

    Ozone and other environmental gases

Conditioning chambers are available to expose your materials to controlled levels of ozone up to 5 ppm while maintaining the sample at a constant temperature and humidity. Higher exposure levels can be used over short time periods to predict the impact of prolonged exposure. Other environmental gases can be introduced on special request.
