EU RoHS Directive

RoHS Directive

The European Union (EU) RoHS Directive (the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment) is intended to reduce the use of six substances that may pose risks to human health or the environment. The Member States’ RoHS regulations legislate that most new electrical and electronic equipment cannot be sold in the EU if it contains the following substances above specified concentrations (w/w) at the homogeneous material level:

  Lead (0.1%)
  Mercury (0.1%)
  Cadmium (0.01%)
  Hexavalent chromium (0.1%)
  Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) (0.1%)
  Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE) (0.1%)

Kodak is compliant with the requirements of the EU RoHS Directive. Our HSE Product Standards reflect the concentration restrictions for the above substances and apply to newly commercialized products regardless of the market or region in which the products are sold. Kodak takes steps to ensure that our suppliers understand these requirements, conform to our Product Standards, and are compliant with the EU RoHS Directive. We recognize that our suppliers and other business partners are key allies in helping us achieve our environmental product goals.
