Kodak branded batteries may be shipped worldwide as non-dangerous goods dependent on the battery chemistry, size, construction, and packaging. U.S. and international regulations pertaining to battery shipment are issued by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), International Air Transport Association (IATA), and the International Maritime Organization who publishes the International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) Code.
Applicable battery chemistry can be determined from the battery MSDS. KODAK Battery MSDSs are available online at Kodak.com under Support Center/Accessories/Battery Support. Search for the correct MSDS using the 7 digit Kodak Cat #. If the Cat # is unknown, search keywords related to the battery chemistry such as lithium ion, lithium metal, alkaline, zinc chloride, or Ni-MH to retrieve a list of battery MSDSs. MSDS Sections 1 and 3 will identify the battery chemistry.
