J4 is excellent for low-cost formulation development or small-scale product manufacturing.

Coating Overview

  • 4.5-15.2 m/m (15 to 50 fpm)
  • 0.1016-m wide on 0.1254-m support (4.0 on 4-15/16 inch)
  • 100-200 micron (0.004 to 0.008-inch) web thickness
  • Slot Hopper: 10 to 60 grams/m2 wet coverage
  • 5-Slot Hopper: 60 to 300 grams/m2 wet coverage
  • Coating bead is vacuum-assisted (0-500 Pa or 0-2 inwc)
  • Precision flow (5-100 grams/min)
  • Temperature regulated solution delivery (20-50 C)
  • Off-line CDT available for Paper
