Physical Property Testing

We have a wide variety of physical property tests available to characterize the performance characteristics of your materials. These tests are conducted in compliance with ANSI and TAPPI standards in precisely controlled environments using rigorously calibrated test fixtures. All our tests can also be run at a wide variety of temperature and humidity conditions to determine the impact of environmental factors on product performance.

Some of the properties that you might want to test include:

Friction
Test the friction of your product against a wide variety of surfaces and materials.

Adhesion/Peel Force
Test the adhesive strength at all of the layer interfaces in your product. Determine how your product will hold together when subjected to external peel forces.

Scratch Resistance
Test how resistant your product is to surface scratches.

Curl
Determine the flatness of your product over a wide range of temperatures and humidities.

Mechanical Strength
Determine the tensile strength of your product in whatever orientation is of interest. Subject your sample to fatigue loading to determine if it will fail under repeated stresses.

Dimensional Stability
Measure how much the size of your product will change when subjected to a wide range of heat and humidity conditions.

New Test Development
Kodak's experienced staff has the capability of custom designing a test fixture and test procedure to evaluate any unique needs that your material or product might have.
