Environmental Conditioning

Kodak has state-of-the-art environmental conditioning equipment that provides the ability to subject your materials to controlled levels of all critical environmental factors. Your materials can be subjected to a single condition or a combination of conditions. Heat, humidity, light, and atmospheric pollutants are all applied under precise control and constant monitoring.

Light Exposure
Xenon and fluorescent light sources are used to expose materials to the light intensity you desire. High intensities can be used over short time periods to predict the impact of prolonged exposure.

Heat and Humidity Exposure
Materials are conditioned for extended periods of time in ovens that can be set at a wide range of temperatures and humidities. Higher temperatures and higher humidities can be used over short time periods to predict the impact of prolonged exposure.

Environmental Gases
Samples are conditioned for extended periods of time in chambers that are maintained at controlled levels of specified environmental gases. Higher exposure levels can be used over short time periods to predict the impact of prolonged exposure.

Atmospheric Pressure
A chamber is available to simulate the effect of the lower atmospheric pressures that occur at higher altitudes. The chambers can simulate altitudes of up to 10,000 feet above sea level.
