The latest evolution in the award-winning 8600 thermal dye printer line
is the KODAK PROFESSIONAL 8660 Thermal Printer. The 8660 Thermal Printer
is a new raster-based printer that combines the features and color management
technology of the KODAK PROFESSIONAL 8670 PS Thermal Printer with a new
robust engine design. It promises to be the premier page size photo printer
on the market. Its fast processing means increased productivity. And simplified
color management provides users with an easy-to-use solution to achieve
consistent high-quality color-right images.
The 8660 Thermal Printer uses KODAK
Thermal Media, delivering the same high-quality output that you have
built your reputation on. Durable image stability means prints will last
as long as traditional photographic prints. You'll get waterfast prints
that are light fade resistant, fingerprint resistant, and re-transfer
protective. Multiple output sizes are available: 5 x 7 inches;
A4; 8.5 X 11, 12, and 14 inches. Built-in layout template
provides a broad range of new formats on a single sheet, or customize
your own layout design if you like.
The 8660
printer also includes auto detection of memory, and offers an optional
10/100 Mb Network Interface Card, resulting in easy setup and printer
installations. Robust feature set, versatile connectivity options, and
an XAPI Toolkit (available to DRG members) provide attractive print options
for integrated solutions, offering customers innovative ways to deliver
images.
