Extrusion Coating

Compounding

Our  Leistritz compounder can combine thermoplastic resins at the percentages you specify to create a custom blend of your materials. Liquid and powder additives can be introduced into the process to optimize your material properties.

The end result is a customized material in pellet form that is ready to be used in one of our extrusion coating processes.

Small Scale Extrusion Coating

Our  small-scale extrusion coater allows you to cast sheets from 10 to 1,000 microns thick or coat layers of 1 to 500 microns thick onto paper or plastic webs. Sample widths are 6" or less, and a minimum of 20 lbs of materials is required. Final sample format can be either wound rolls or chopped sheets.

A range of equipment options allows us the ability to configure this process to meet almost any product need.

Intermediate Scale Extrusion Coating

Our  intermediate-scale extrusion coater allows you to cast sheets from 10 to 1,000 microns thick or coat layers from 1 to 500 microns thick onto paper or plastic webs. Samples can be up to 16" wide, and typically 60 lbs of materials is required. Final sample format is wound rolls, but off-line slitting and chopping is available if needed.
