DIGISOURCE attributes

The electronic printing platform that ends the compromises.

The KODAK DIGISOURCE 9110 Network Imaging System is a totally digital printing system centered on a new Web browser-based interface, a new image-processing architecture, and an innovative 110 page per minute digital marking engine with extensive finishing capabilities. It is designed to meet the needs of on-demand printing and duplication in the most demanding centralized reprographics and print-for-pay environments. The Web browser-based interface makes all of this publishing power accessible and easy to manage.

DIGISOURCE 9110 Image

Better image quality from an all-digital design.
World-class image quality is the hallmark of the DIGISOURCE 9110 System. It breaks away from the compromises that light-lens technology forces on competitive printing systems. Kodak's exclusive advanced LED image writing, GRET image enhancement, and SPD toner technology were all designed to support digital printing. These combine to produce smoother edges, curves, and lines on graphics and characters, dense solid areas, clean backgrounds and uniform imaging across the entire page. Page to page and job to job consistency is safeguarded by a dynamic process control subsystem that monitors and adjusts quality, even while the system is running.

Extremely productive from start to finish.
The DIGISOURCE 9110 System offers a superior printing workflow. Designed to be implemented as a printer in its base configuration, it can accept jobs from multiple print, reprint, and data processing input streams. The system's fast RIP and huge-capacity job spooling subsystem (MIP) keep the marking engine running at full speed.

A modular design permits customers to configure the DIGISOURCE 9110 System according to their needs. A ScanStation subsystem is available to manage hardcopy duplication jobs. A second paper supply module doubles the number of paper drawers to a total of six. Customers can also add a stapler and/or an inline binder manufactured by C. P. Bourg.

The DIGISOURCE 9110 System virtually eliminates post-process collation and finishing, to significantly reduce the time and labor required to publish a document. The generous number of paper drawers, which handle paper stocks up to 11" x 17" (A3) and 110 lb.(200g/m2) index weight, permit the system to automatically assemble a complete job, including covers, inserts, and tabs. Finishing options include measured-stitch corner and booklet stapling, stacking, and mini-booklet and booklet saddle-stitch binding.

Ready to tackle a variety of demanding printing applications.

On-demand printing. Corporate, print-for-pay, government, and higher education organizations can all benefit from the DIGISOURCE 9110 System's cut and paste assembly capability. Frequent revisions and updated publications, such as manuals, documentation, and policy booklets, are a snap with this system. It is especially suited to publications that incorporate a lot of graphics, such as technical material that might include diagrams, photographs, and screen captures from software.

Variable data input printing. High-speed image processing and inline document assembly make the DIGISOURCE 9110 System ideal for printing one-of-a-kind documents such as client-specific policy booklets or financial reports.

Distribute and print. Process control assures that a document will look the same no matter when or on what DIGISOURCE 9110 System it is reprinted. There's no reason for all copies of a document to be printed in one place at one time. Inventory and shipping costs are minimized. For instance, a corporation can compose a new product catalog at headquarters, then send the file to offices worldwide for local printing and delivery as required.
