Jeff Darling, Claudio Miranda and Robert Richardson, ASC, took top honors in the cinematography category of the 11th Annual Association of Independent Commercial Producers (AICP) Show. All three commercials were part of the AICP Show at the Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art (MoMa) in New York in June, and will be made a permanent part of the museum's film and media archives. Their images will be screened at museums and other cultural institutions as part of this year's AICP Show: The Art & Technique of the American Commercial.
Darling was recognized for adventuresome images he directed and shot for a campaign featuring the new Jaguar X-Type. Miranda's award-winning images pitched the energy drink Pocari. Richardson was honored for a long form commercial for BMW that was featured on the Internet at BMWfilms.com.
