Kodak Celebrates 20 Years at Cannes!
For the 20th consecutive year, Kodak will be an official partner of the Cannes Festival and partner of the Caméra d'Or (Golden Camera) prize.
Kodak's ongoing commitment to filmmakers is demonstrated through an expansive number of activities and initiatives that support and welcome industry representatives from around the world.
2007 Cannes Film Festival, An International Event
Kodak's attendance emphasizes their commitment to the industry by welcoming professionals and supporting youth cinema. Throughout the fortnight, Kodak will be organizing a series of events showcasing the work of young film directors from all over the world.
The Cannes Film Festival is one the largest and most prestigious film festival in the world with:
- 900 films in the various competitions
- 200 000 people attended the screenings
- 8800 motion picture professionals
- 4000 journalists
- 266 TV channels
- 265 photo reporters
- 76 countries
- 1700 media
Hundreds of films are purchased at the International Film Market, a place that enables films to have a commercial exposure, the place for movie business in Cannes.

This year, the English filmmaker Stephen Frears has the honor to chair the Jury of the 60th Cannes Festival. Revealed in 1985 for his film My beautiful Launderette, Stephen Frears has presented Prick up your Ears to the Cannes Film Festival in 1987 and won an award for it. 1988: Dangerous Liaisons made him a worldwide famous and successful filmmaker. Stephen Frears dedicates his career to both intimate and involved movies (The Snapper, High Fidelity, Dirty Pretty Things) and box-office successes (Hero, The Grifters). The Queen, his last movie, is his greatest success in Great Britain.
