Scripting: The Power to Take
Digital Imaging to the Next Level
Have you ever purchased a powerful piece of hardware or a sophisticated
application program only to use a very small portion of the functionality
of the product? Well, that's the idea behind scripting.
Scripting
is an easy way for you to gain total control over the imaging process
and obtain predictable results from even the most feature-rich digital
cameras. It's like having software for your camera. Like suddenly gaining
years of photo capture experience overnight. Most of all, scripting represents
an easy way for you to begin taking full advantage of all the features
and functions, all the bells and whistles. Now, that's progress!
The KODAK DC220, DC260, DC265, and DC290 Digital Zoom Cameras use the DIGITA Operating System
developed by FLASHPOINT TECHNOLOGY, INC. to allow you to automate just
about EVERYTHING that you can do manually with the cameras. And, you can
really do a lot.
Scripts can be used during capture to perform automatic functions or
maintain camera settings. They can be used in the image processing back-end
to automatically place pictures in designated albums or add audio captions,
text or watermarks. You can also use scripting to streamline connection
to printers, televisions (slideshows), computers and other cameras. By
working with a VAR, scripting can be used to bridge the transfer of pictures
from the camera to application programs, even specific document or database
templates. Or you can write
the script yourself.
